Let me start by explaining the mysterious french engravings that is written on every perfume box you buy, Eau De Toilette!! Any mixture with a lower proportion of oil to alcohol is known as an Eau. Most common mixtures that you will find are:
Eau de cologne – EDC (2 – 5% perfume oil)
Eau de toilette – EDT (4 – 10% perfume oil)
Eau de parfum – EDP (8 – 15% perfume oil)
Obviously, higher the perfume oil percentage, greater is the perfume stay-time (as I say) on your body.
Now, coming back to our review of Mont Blanc Legend EDT perfume. I bought this from Parcos (Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj) for 3750 bucks. Montblanc (pronounced: Mon Blan(k)) is a German manufacturer of luxury writing instruments, watches, jewellery and leather goods, often identified by their “White Snowflake” logo.
The smell of any perfume is really hard to express in words but I would like to give it a shot! So, the fragrance is a subtle combination of strong-musk-like-smell dipped in the pool of freshness, a bit sweet yet manly, perfect for a guy who wants to impress his boss in a meeting or his girlfriend on the dinner date. Having said that, the perfume bottle is a mixture of black (mostly) and chrome. It looks and feels luxurious and it gives you a sense of confidence everytime you wear it.
Other brands that you can go for, Hugo Boss Bottled, Armani Code, Valentino, Chanel Bleu (one of my favourite!) and Davidoff Coolwater.
Till next time!!!
